MITT ROMNEY SE VE FORZADO A ABANDONAR RECLAMO DE QUE CREÓ 100,000 EMPLEOS – NO TIENE HISTORIAL COMPROBADO DE CREACIÓN DE EMPLEOS

En los programas noticiosos de esta mañana se debatió exhaustivamente el reclamo del candidato republicano a la presidencia, Mitt Romney, donde alega que fue un creador de empleos. Pero una cosa quedó clara: Romney se adjudica cada vez menos empleos, lo que indica que no tiene historial comprobado de creación de empleos, pese a sus reclamos iniciales. Romney había reclamado crear más de 100,000 empleos como líder de la compañía Bain Capital. Pero luego de que los mismos republicanos y analistas independientes le imputaran que se inventó esa cifra – y también que describió erróneamente su posición con la compañía como una de crear empleos en vez de destruirlos – Romney se vio forzado a abandonar el reclamo de haber creado 100,000 empleos, lo que indica que no hay nada que compruebe el reclamo de Romney como ‘creador de empleos’. Ahora Romney se ve forzado a limitarse a una cifra mucho menor: Sólo ‘miles’ de empleos creados –y ni si quiera provee datos para sustanciar esos nuevos reclamos.

Y, peor aún, cuando fue gobernador de Massachusetts, no tan sólo tuvo uno de los peores historiales de creación de empleos en todo el país, pero también creó seis veces más empleos gubernamentales que empleos en el sector privado. Entonces, ¿por qué Romney se expresa en contra del gobierno? Queda claro que Romney dirá lo que sea para ganarse un voto. Luego de basar su campaña en su supuesta habilidad de crear empleos – algo que no ha logrado probar – ¿qué más dirá Romney?

In a separate interview, Thomas Stemberg, Staples chairman and chief executive, acknowledged that there probably has been some job loss in the paper products business because of superstore companies, but said that the nation is still better off for their advent.
